"Happy Birthday to You~"

We should all be familiar with that phrase. It is sung to us each year before we blow the lit candles from our special cake.

Starting November 2nd, BoA and 109 other participating Japanese artists will sing 「Happy Birthday to You」 for Japan's UNICEF. Each of the songs will cost 105¥ (yen), which is approximately $1.15 USD, and will be released digitally via three Japanese music sites: music.jp, dwango.jp, and mu-mo. According to Barks, one download will purchase about 90 vitamin capsules or five liters of water for infants in developing countries. One download can make a lot of difference for these children.

Only one song will be released a day, therefore, Project "Happy Birthday Download for Children" will continue for approximately 3-4 months. As of October 20th, there are 110 artists in total participating, including BoA and her fellow Avex artists, Tohoshinki (a.k.a. Dong Bang Shin Ki), Koda Kumi, alan, Do As Infinity, DA PUMP, and many others. Here is the full list with Avex artists in blue:
